In April 2015, HAIHAN-IP received a request from the Director of HB TRADING AND SERVICE CO., LTD., (herein after the company is called HB) about the posibility of filing a trademark application in Class 03 in Korea. HB intends to import cosmetics with their own registered trademark.

The trademark application was filed with KIPO on April 08, 2015. After the application was published on KIPO Gazette, there is no opposition from any third party. In early December 2015, HAIHAN-IP received KIPO official decision to registration. After paying the registration fee, KIPO issued Trademark Certificate No. 40-1149905 on December 21, 2015. In sum, the total time from filing until registration of a trademark application in Korea is about 8 months. It is the ideal examination process for our client.
