Should we conduct a trademark search before filing a trademark application in Vietnam?

To avoid a risk of rejection, the applicant is suggested to conduct a trademark search before filing a trademark application. A simple search can be done through IPlib of NOIP at http://iplib.noip.gov.vn/WebUI/WLogin.php. In addition, the applicant can search from Romanrin database to find the trademarks filed under Madrid Agreement and Madrid Protocol which are protected in Vietnam.
Another solution is to ask an IP agent in Vietnam to conduct a trademark search and give a professional opinion about registrability of the trademark.
