TRADEMARK REGISTRATION

Since 2010, Vietnamese government has had many campaigns to increase the awareness about IP for individuals and companies. So far, the awareness of Vietnamese about IP has been improved very much. When representatives of HAIHAN-IP have attended conferences about IP recently, we interviewed managers and directors of many companies and most of them could answer the questions "Why should your company file trademarks with NOIP?". In fact, there are many reason to file a trademark applications with NOIP, particularly:

- To have an exclusive rights to a trademark;

- To be not able to be an infringer to other trademarks;

- To prevent others from using the trademark;

- To advertise the trademark on TV, the Internet, radio, etc., legally;

- To be able to transfer the rights to others;

and many other similar reasons.

Although the answerers could not point out all of the reasons as mentioned above, but generally they could give out the main points.
